Hyo Ring by Clocks and Colours
Where would our fingers be without a few rings? They’d be a great deal duller to look at, that’s for sure; a few choice rings, tastefully deployed alongside other carefully-chosen items of jewellery, can make the difference between an inspiring get-up and a merely functional one.
One manufacturer of suitably-manly items of this sort is Clocks and Colours. They’re a design company based in Toronto, Canada, who’re responsible for a wide range of different sterling-silver items. While all of the design work takes place in Toronto, the silversmithing itself is actually done by artisans in Bali, making this a truly international operation.
Sterling Silver Hyo Ring for Men
This particular sterling silver Hyo ring features a panther, and takes its name from the Japanese term for the famous big cat. With this creature snarling from your middle finger, you’ll be able to approach every situation with the right amount of ferocity and feline grace. The Hyo ring design itself proceeded in collaboration with photographer Matt Barnes, and comes with a pair of ‘chessboard-style’ crowns engraved on either side of the eponymous kitty. Coming in gleaming sterling silver, it’s subtle enough to be attractive without being garish – and it’ll naturally tarnish over time to produce the ‘worn-in’ look that Clocks and Colours favour.
